🏢Inside The Pearl with Chuck Surack

Chuck Surack’s latest downtown Fort Wayne project, The Pearl, opens with apartments, work-live spaces, and a 300-person event center. Across the street, The Pearl Street Arts Center boasts a 400-seat performance hall and creative classrooms, offering an arts-focused hub. Restaurants Amore and Ducky’s are set to open soon. ❄️NIPSCO says, Your heating bills may go up this winter

NIPSCO projects a 15% increase in winter gas bills for Northern Indiana residents, with monthly bills up to $23 higher by March. While higher than last year, costs remain below 2022 levels. The hike follows NIPSCO's rate increase in August, with a second phase coming in early 2025. Read More

🌀Indiana Michigan Power crews assist Hurricane Milton restoration efforts

Indiana Michigan Power crews traveled to Florida to support power restoration for over three million residents after Hurricane Milton. Working 16-hour shifts, they join Tampa Electric and Florida Power and Light teams, repairing infrastructure and providing critical aid. I&M’s dedication extends to ongoing efforts in Hurricane Helene recovery as well. Read Full Story Here

🐶Humane Fort Wayne bringing in 20 dogs affected by Helene

Humane Fort Wayne is rescuing 20 dogs from overcrowded Tennessee shelters affected by Hurricane Helene. These pets, now en route to Fort Wayne, need new homes to free up space for displaced animals. Humane Fort Wayne may also aid animals impacted by Hurricane Milton in coming weeks. Read More Here

💳Allen County War Memorial Coliseum transitioning to cashless payments

Starting October 25, the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum will go cashless for food and drink concessions, accepting cards and mobile payments only. Cash-paying guests can load funds onto nonrefundable Food & Beverage cards at the Information Booth. Tickets and parking will still accept cash payments. Full Story Here

🏦Wagyu Burger Shack sets opening date in Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne welcomes The Wagyu Burger Shack, the city’s first restaurant dedicated to 100% Wagyu beef burgers, with a grand opening on October 18 at 3824 E. 🧗‍♂️Summit City Climbing Co. announces grand opening date

Fort Wayne’s first climbing gym, Summit City Climbing Co., opens Thursday at 1331 East Berry Street. 🎰Study Predicts New Indiana Casino Could Add Over $80 Million in Tax Revenue

A proposed casino in New Haven, Indiana, promises a $290 million economic boost, with over $80 million in tax revenue and 2,400+ new jobs. 🎂A new bakery is coming to the Summit City

🏒Komets hammer Heartlanders in exhibition opener

Last year’s MVP Jack Dugan scored twice, leading the Komets to a commanding 6-0 victory over Iowa in their first exhibition game. The teams face off again Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Coliseum, with the regular season starting Oct. 18 and the home opener set for Oct. 25. Full Story Here
