🧘 Fill the Field returns to Parkview Field on Thursday, September 18, from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m., transforming the outfield into a giant yoga mat for an evening of yoga, live music, concessions, and a visit from Johnny the TinCaps mascot. 🕊️ The assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk in Utah has drawn reactions from northeast Indiana leaders, who condemned the violence and urged a return to respectful debate. 🏗️ Allen County leaders shared plans for the new jail under construction at 2911 Meyer Road, designed for efficiency and future growth. The 400,000 sq. ft. facility will expand capacity from 731 to 1,300 beds, with potential for 3,000, and use a one-level pod system to reduce staffing needs. It will feature specialized housing, rehab programming, and updated technology. Construction is on schedule for completion in December 2027 with a transition period planned. 🛍️ Fort Wayne’s Community Development Division is seeking resident feedback through online surveys about future businesses along South Calhoun Street, East State Boulevard, and Waynedale. 🔥 Multiple fire departments responded to a pole barn fire on the 3800 block of Bostick Road near US 27 and I-469 in southern Fort Wayne. Flames measuring about 50 by 100 feet engulfed the barn, which was extinguished within 30 minutes.
