Four can’t miss evenings span silky jazz, a powerhouse hometown vocal homecoming, a charming big band comedy Christmas, and a swoon worthy set of timeless hits with vintage flair. Plus, from Nov 1 to Dec 1, bring a new, unwrapped toy to The Clyde or Crescendo to support Marine Toys for Tots, As a thank you, the Clyde Theatre Box Office will be offering tickets to the December 26 show, The 1985 - Turn Back Time Tour 2025, to those who participate. Grab seats now at clydetheatre.com or stop by the box office, 1808 Bluffton Rd, during regular hours. 🔥 Fire crews responded to a blaze at the Applebee’s Bar and Grill on Meijer Drive in northeast Fort Wayne. The Fort Wayne Fire Department quickly extinguished the flames, though details about injuries or damage have not yet been confirmed. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available. 🏠 The Glick Company has finished an $8.56 million renovation of the nearly 50-year-old Edsall House in Fort Wayne, preserving affordable housing for the elderly and disabled. The project upgraded 203 apartments with new kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, lighting, and ADA-compliant features. Funded through Tax-Exempt Bonds from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, the improvements also included new roofs, handrails, and a dog park. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🏆Nexstar Media made a donation to the Northeast Indiana Better Business Bureau (BBB) during its 20th annual Torch Awards at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum. The event honored local businesses, charities, and individuals for integrity and ethical practices. WANE 15’s Dirk Rowley hosted the ceremony, where Vice President and General Manager Tom Antisdel presented the donation. Honorees included Don Ayres Automotive Group, JH Specialty, Sabrina’s Cleaning Services, and several nonprofits. 💻 As construction continues on Google’s new $2 billion Fort Wayne data center, the tech giant is giving back to the community with a $35,000 grant to the Allen County Public Library. The funding will upgrade the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research’s immersive projection system, allowing for customizable tours and interactive experiences for students and visitors. ACPL’s Curt Witcher said the enhancements will make Abraham Lincoln’s legacy more accessible and engaging. Google representative Allyson Eastman noted the partnership supports innovation, education, and connectivity—key goals as the company establishes itself in Allen County. ❄️ The Fort Wayne Civic Theatre is bringing Disney’s Frozen to life starting November 8 through November 23. The show follows Elsa and Anna, royal sisters of Arendelle, in a story of love, magic, and sisterhood. Lead actors Tegan Dostal (Elsa) and Meaghan Schwartz (Anna) shared that fans can expect extra songs and special duets not featured in the film. 🥫With SNAP benefits set to decrease next week, Community Harvest Food Bank is preparing for a rise in families needing help. Over 35,000 Allen County residents currently rely on SNAP, averaging $400 per household monthly. The colder season and higher heating costs are compounding food insecurity. Community Harvest supports families through mobile pantries, senior distributions, and Saturday Helping Hands events. 🎄The holiday season is shining brighter with the new Fort Wayne Light Fest, a partnership between the Fort Wayne Zoo and Blue Jacket. Guests can enjoy over 200 animated light displays and the all-new Wild Lights experience at the zoo, featuring nearly one million lights, reindeer encounters, sugar cookie decorating, s’mores, and a dance party with Santa’s elves. The event runs from November 28, 2025, through January 4, 2026. Early-elf discounts are available until November 9—$8 for members and $10 for non-members, plus 10% off Blue Jacket Fantasy of Lights. Zoo Director Rick Schuiteman and Blue Jacket CEO Tony Hudson said the collaboration brings a full, festive experience for the community. Read more from WFFT here.

🔒 30-year-old Tyshawn Devon Morris has pleaded guilty to murder and attempted murder following a June 2024 shooting that left one person dead and another injured. His plea deal dismisses two counts of criminal recklessness and a firearm enhancement. If accepted, Morris will serve 45 years in prison, with both sentences running concurrently. The shooting occurred during a house party in northeast Fort Wayne, where an argument turned violent. Sentencing is set for November 24. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🏐 Carroll and Bishop Dwenger volleyball teams are headed to the IHSAA State Finals after earning semi-state victories. Carroll claimed back-to-back Class 4A titles, defeating Westfield in five sets and Crown Point in four. Bishop Dwenger won its first semi-state since 2020, sweeping Hamilton Heights and beating NorthWood. Carroll will face Plainfield for the 4A championship, while Bishop Dwenger will play Roncalli for the 3A title next weekend. Read more from WANE 15 here.
