First Alert Traffic: Part Of Hanna Street To Close Thursday
• Hanna Street will close between Hayden Street and Wallace Street beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday for sewer manhole repairs
• The closure is expected to remain in place through Friday, according to Fort Wayne City Utilities
• Drivers will be detoured using East Lewis Street, South Clinton Street, East Wallace Street, and Lafayette Street during the closure

Fort Wayne Tim Hortons Closes After Fight, Death, But Owner Plans To Reopen
• The Ice Way Tim Hortons remains closed nearly two weeks after a fight involving 75-year-old Anita Grayson, who later died at a hospital
• Tim Hortons corporate said the franchise owner intends to reopen the store, though no timeline has been given
• Police released surveillance clips of the incident, while the case remains under review by the Allen County Prosecutor

Citilink Public Transit To Make Multiple Rider Improvements Starting June 1
• Citilink announced system upgrades beginning June 1, including contactless “Tap to Pay” and fare capping to limit daily spending
• Riders will gain improved access to real-time trip planning tools, updated maps, and service alerts through the Royale system
• Summer route changes will adjust schedules and improve reliability on several lines including Route 8, Route 1, and Route 21

• The Allen County Board of Zoning Appeals unanimously denied US Aggregates’ request for a special use variance for a 524-acre quarry project
• After the denial, the developer withdrew additional rezoning and development proposals that were scheduled for Planning Commission review
• More than 1,000 people attended the meeting, with 56 speakers opposing the project and only one speaking in support

Alternating Lane Closures Coming To Section Of I-69 In Allen, Huntington, And Wells Counties
• INDOT will begin alternating lane closures on I-69 between mile markers 291 and 294 starting on or after May 29
• Bridge construction will affect one northbound and one southbound lane at a time for about two weeks
• Drivers are advised to watch for reduced speed limits, follow posted signs, and use caution in work zones

Pizza Hut Reviving Retro Design At Select Locations, Including 2 In Fort Wayne
• Pizza Hut plans to restore retro 1990s style features at 155 U.S. restaurants, including two locations in Fort Wayne
• The updated designs will include red roofs, Tiffany style lamps, red cups, checkered tablecloths, vinyl booths, and arcade games

US Deports Thousands Of Cubans And Venezuelans To Mexico Amid Safety Concerns
• Human Rights Watch said the Trump administration has deported nearly 13,000 Cubans, Venezuelans, and other migrants to Mexico
• The report says many deportees are older adults who lived in the United States for decades and now face violence, poor healthcare access, and limited work opportunities in Mexico
• Researchers found some deportees were sent to Mexico without a court hearing even after expressing fears for their safety
