I&M Announces $6 Drop In Indiana Electric Bills For June 2026
• Indiana Michigan Power said customers using about 1,000 kWh per month will see an average bill decrease of about $6 starting in June.
• The company attributed the 3.6% reduction to regulatory approval of cost adjustments tied to energy market management and power sales.

Woman In Life-Threatening Condition After Memorial Day Crash
• A single-vehicle crash occurred on May 26 at Broadway and Illsley Drive after an SUV struck a utility pole.
• Police said a male driver and female passenger were taken to a hospital, with the woman reported in life-threatening condition.
• Investigators said neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt and believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

Man Confesses To Fatal Shooting Of Wife In Southwest Mobile Home Park
• Deputies responded Friday night to a shooting at a home in the 100 block of Woodlake Run at Woodlake Mobile Home Park in southwest Allen County.
• Investigators said 79-year-old James Chelf told a neighbor and police, “I just shot my wife,” before being taken into custody at the scene.
• Court documents say Chelf admitted during questioning that he shot his wife during an argument and said he “just lost my mind.”
