Fort Wayne Man Seriously Injured After Crash Into DeKalb County Ditch

• Investigators said a vehicle crossed the centerline, left the roadway, struck a utility pole, and rolled into a ditch.
• The driver, identified as a 46-year-old Fort Wayne man, suffered a head injury and spinal fracture and was taken to a hospital.

Fort Wayne Woman Pleads Guilty To Killing ‘Best Friend’ During Fight
• A Fort Wayne woman pleaded guilty in Allen Superior Court to voluntary manslaughter in the 2002 stabbing death of a 17-year-old girl.
• Court documents said the victim was stabbed during a backyard fight at a Fort Wayne home on Aug. 15, 2002, before the case became a cold case and was reopened in 2019.
• The plea deal calls for a 25-year sentence with five years suspended and three years of adult probation.
