Pedestrian Critically Injured In East State Crash
• Fort Wayne police are investigating a crash on East State Boulevard near North Coliseum Boulevard involving a pedestrian struck by a vehicle
• Officers said the pedestrian ran into the roadway and was hit by a car behind an on-duty officer who narrowly avoided the person
• The pedestrian was taken to a hospital in life-threatening condition and investigators say speed and intoxication are not believed to be factors

Police Chase On US 30 Ends In Suicide, Coroner Rules

Coroner Identifies Man Killed By Fort Wayne Police During Standoff
• The Allen County Coroner identified the man as Erik John Anderson, 47, of Fort Wayne.
• Police responded to a home on Howell Street where a man was reported to be in a mental health crisis and possibly armed.
• Authorities said the man pointed a gun at officers and was shot, later dying at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.
