Pack the rain gear Tuesday is shaping up to be cool, cloudy, and damp. Expect scattered showers throughout the day with a high of just 58°F. Winds from the east will make it feel even chillier, gusting up to 25 mph. Showers linger into the night as temps dip to 51°F. A gray, breezy day—perfect for museums, markets, or a cozy indoor show.

🖌️A Fort Wayne woman created an Art Pantry in 2021 at Berry and Union Streets, offering free art supplies as a creative community exchange. After storm damage, the community helped rebuild it. Inside the pantry, you’ll find yarn, hooks, paint, brushes, plus loads more. You can click here to learn more about the art pantry and how you can make a donation for more art supplies to be added. 🎤The Fairfield invites musicians to Open Mic Night every other Monday from 7–10 PM in the Barrel Room. It’s free to attend and open to all skill levels. Sign-up starts at 6:30 PM, and equipment is available but is encouraged to bring their own equipment. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🚧Starting May 19, the right westbound lane of Coliseum Boulevard will close between North Anthony Boulevard and Parnell Avenue for bridge maintenance. Closures took place weekdays from 7 AM to 6 PM and will last about two weeks. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🌉 Construction on Lower Huntington Road over I-69 begins May 19 and runs through late November. Expect lane shifts and flaggers in place. From May 19 to June 6, nightly lane closures (6 PM–6 AM, Sunday–Thursday) will occur on I-69 between I-469 and Branstrator Road. All work is weather-dependent. Drivers are urged to stay alert and drive cautiously in work zones. Read more from WANE 15

🌳New plans show a major development at the former Pepsi site north of downtown. Features include a 400,000+ sq. ft. mixed-use building, park space, two smaller buildings, and a 430-space garage. Retail, housing, and green space are all included. Read more from WANE 15 here.

📺Despite federal funding cuts, PBS Fort Wayne launched Channel 39.6 to air the Audio Reading Service with help from the AWS Foundation. The channel improves access for those with reading challenges and coincides with PBS Fort Wayne’s 50th anniversary. Read more from WANE 15 here.

⚖️Allen Superior Court Judge Andrea Trevino will step down on Sept. 23, 2025. She has served since 2013 and led programs for youth and families. Trevino will become General Counsel for Clean Fuels National after leaving the bench. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🚨A Fort Wayne family visiting Fremont, Ohio, for fishing was struck by a train Sunday near the Miles Newton Bridge over the Sandusky River. A 58-year-old woman, a 38-year-old woman, and a 5-year-old girl were killed. A 14-month-old child was hospitalized. Authorities continue investigations. Read more from WANE 15 here.
