🚚 New Bill Could Streamline Food Truck Licensing Statewide
House Bill 1577 would allow Indiana food truck owners to buy a single license valid statewide, simplifying operations across counties. Owners would still register locally, and changes wouldn’t take effect until January 2027. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🍴 Feeding Fort Wayne One Meal at a Time
Out of a Jam has served over 500,000 meals using rescued food since COVID began. Volunteers help pack healthy, ready-to-eat meals, and their food truck will now deliver meals instead of serving as a revenue stream.

🏡 Did Your Home Value Go Up? Allen County Tax Assessments Released
Allen County residents will receive updated property tax assessments based on January 1, 2025 values. Around 45% of Wayne Township properties saw increases of 5% or less, and some values decreased. Appeals are due by June 15. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🚓 Rollover Crash Injures 1 on I-469
A crash involving a Ford Edge and a Chevrolet Trailblazer occurred near the Wheelock Road overpass on I-469. The Trailblazer caught fire and ejected its driver, who was critically injured. The other driver had minor injuries.

🎸 Clyde Theatre Raises Thousands for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
Clyde Theatre raised $5,870 during four nights of Nashville Thursdays to support the Allen County branch of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, helping 190 kids. ACPL has raised $142,000 of the $186,000 needed for the year. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🚰 Mayor Tucker Celebrates $95.5 Million in 2025 Utility Improvements
Mayor Sharon Tucker announced $95.5 million in utility improvements for 2025, including upgrades to stormwater, water, and sanitary sewer systems across multiple Fort Wayne neighborhoods. Projects begin this spring in Sunny Meadows and extend citywide.
