Expect a warm Monday with a high of 78°F, a mix of clouds and sun in the morning, followed by increasing cloud cover in the afternoon. Winds will come from the southeast at 10–15 mph, adding a gentle breeze to the day. The UV index will be moderate, so take precautions if you're out in the sun for extended periods. Later tonight, skies will remain cloudy as temperatures drop to a mild 61°F with light southeast winds.

🎪BuskerFest returns to downtown Fort Wayne on Saturday, May 17th from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with street performers like fire dancers and magicians at the Busker Central Pitch on Wayne and Calhoun Streets. Admission and parking are free. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🌿Eco Fest is back for its 6th year at Headwaters Park on Sunday, May 18th, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The free event features vendors, a nonprofit booth contest, and sustainability-focused activities. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🛍️ The Healing Hands Night Market returns Saturday, May 10th from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at 6527 Covington Rd. The Fort Wayne Youth Market runs during the event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🍩Carmeli’s Dough, a bakery by Chef Guy Carmeli of Pasta di Guy, opened Friday in Union Street Market’s East Hall. The shop offers fresh donuts, cinnamon rolls, and bread, all made from scratch. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🏫FWCS is expanding its childcare program with the YMCA and Champions for pre-K to 5th grade students, starting in 2025-2026. It includes care before and after school, during breaks, and on weather days. Information will be available at in-person registration in July and at the annual FWCS Back-to-School Block Party and back-to-school nights in August. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🚧City Council advanced plans for $2M+ in resurfacing projects across southeast and southwest Fort Wayne, including Calhoun, Covington, Hadley, and Wayne Trace. Work may begin in 2025 and align with existing trail upgrades. Read more from WANE 15 here.

📬Stamp Out Hunger, hosted by the National Association of Letter Carriers, encourages residents to leave nonperishable food by their mailboxes. Letter carriers collect donations, which are delivered to food pantries with help from volunteers. Read more from WANE 15 here.

⚖️A jury found Alison Davis not guilty of murder in the 2023 death of her husband, Kevin Davis. After six and a half hours of deliberation, the Allen County jury reached its verdict Friday night. Read more from WANE 15 here.

👶Deputy Aaron Long was honored with the Lifesaving Award for his quick action in February when he saved three-month-old Jaxon’s life after the baby stopped breathing on I-69. Jaxon is now healthy, and his family is grateful. Read more from WANE 15 here.

💰Ivory Hill, 44, of Fort Wayne, pleaded guilty to wire fraud after using over $20K in CARES Act PPP funds for personal expenses. He claimed to own a non-existent auto business. Hill was sentenced to 24 months probation and ordered to pay $23,332.00 restitution. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🏍️A motorcycle crash on Airport Expressway left one person in critical condition. Parts of Fairfield Avenue were shut down following the crash, and more details are being gathered. Read more from WANE 15 here.
