Southwest Allen County Residents Oppose 689-Home Development
• More than 35 people attended a meeting to voice concerns about the Communities of Calusa development.
• The project seeks to rezone 170 acres from agricultural to residential, allowing single-family and multifamily housing.
• Residents cited proximity to Fort Wayne International Airport and lack of similar developments nearby as reasons for opposition.

PepsiCo Awards Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana $10,000
• PepsiCo presented the organization with a Community Impact award and a $10,000 check on Sunday.
• The donation supports the annual ‘Bowl for Kids’ Sake’ fundraiser promoting youth mentorships.

Fight Against Hunger With Jars Of Love

• Officers spotted a car with false license plates and reckless driving around 12:15 a.m. Sunday.
• The driver led police on a short chase before crashing at Hamilton Park and being pinned inside the car.
• The car was reported stolen from Detroit, and the driver was taken to the hospital before being jailed.

Second Fort Wayne Woman Accused of Trafficking Missing Girl Takes Plea Deal
• Harley Cooley pleaded guilty to child exploitation in exchange for a six-year suspended sentence.
• Two other felony charges for promotion of child sexual trafficking were dismissed as part of the agreement.
• Cooley must serve four years of probation if the plea is approved at a March 23 sentencing hearing.

Teen Pleads Guilty in Shooting of 7-Year-Old
• Chandrai Suttle, 16, pleaded guilty to attempted murder for shooting a 7-year-old in May 2025.
• The plea deal drops initial charges of battery with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
• Suttle will serve 20 years in prison and was charged as an adult after originally being arrested as a juvenile.
