• Customers reported high-pressure sales, undisclosed return policies, and being charged more than agreed.
• The store appears abandoned at Glenbrook Square Mall, and Lavelier did not respond to inquiries.

Fort Wayne Nonprofit Urgently Seeks Drivers to Meet Medical Ride Demand
• Community Transportation Network needs to hire seven drivers to keep up with requests for rides to medical appointments.
• The nonprofit provides transportation for low-income seniors and people with disabilities in the Fort Wayne area.
• Leaders say without more drivers some riders may miss dialysis or chemotherapy treatments.

Months-Long I-469 Construction Planned near Maplecrest Road
• INDOT will begin a bridge deck overlay project between mile markers 28 and 29 starting Monday.
• Two lanes in each direction will remain open with traffic shifts, and a Maplecrest Road on-ramp will close on an undisclosed date.
• The project is expected to continue through September and is weather dependent.

Fort Wayne Officials Question Impact of Proposed Public Camping Ban
• Indiana Senate Bill 285 passed the Senate 28 to 22 and was sent to Governor Mike Braun for consideration.
• Fort Wayne officials say they are reviewing how the legislation could be used locally if signed into law.
• City officials say Fort Wayne does not have enough shelter beds and shelters often operate at or above capacity.

PSM Baseball Classic returns to Parkview Field
• The Parkview Sports Medicine Baseball Classic will be held at Parkview Field in April and May.
• The event will feature 24 high school and college teams from northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio.

One Dead in Northwest Fort Wayne House Fire
• The fire started just after 2:40 a.m. on the 2900 block of Cambridge Boulevard.
• Firefighters contained the blaze within 25 minutes of arriving on scene.
• One adult was found and treated outside but later pronounced dead, and no one else was inside.

Grand Wayne Convention Center Hosts First-Ever Indiana Plant Show
• The event runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Community Foundation Grant Funds Colonial Heritage Wetlands Upgrades
• A $10,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne will fund improvements at the Colonial Heritage Wetlands.
• Planned upgrades include added lighting and seating to improve safety, accessibility, and year round use.
• The wetlands were completed in 2023 as part of the Hessen Cassel Road stormwater improvement project.
