The day begins partly cloudy and mild, with temperatures climbing to around 72°F. Clouds will increase through the afternoon, and a stray shower or thunderstorm could pop up as SSW winds blow at 10–20 mph. Tonight turns more active as showers and thunderstorms become likely (90% chance). Expect a low near 56°F with continued SSW winds at 10–15 mph and a humid feel under cloudy skies. Keep the umbrella handy if you’ll be out in the evening!

• Brown biodegradable paper leaf bags will be collected March 23 through April 3.

Middle Waves Music Festival Returns to Headwaters Park

Detached Garage Catches Fire in Northeast Allen County
• Fire crews responded around 7:30 p.m. Sunday to a fire at 5100 block of Vandolah Road in Leo-Cedarville.

Former Northeast Indiana Officer Sentenced for Rape
• Conner Esmond, 29, pleaded guilty to raping a woman in her Fort Wayne home in 2023.
• He was sentenced to nine years total, with three years in prison, six years suspended, and three years of probation.

Uber Expands Women Only Ride Matching Feature Across the U.S.
• Uber launched a nationwide option allowing women riders and drivers to match with other women through a feature called Women Drivers.
• The option lets passengers request a woman driver, reserve rides in advance, or set a preference in app settings to increase the chances of matching with one.
• The rollout comes as Uber faces a class action lawsuit in California from drivers who argue the policy discriminates against men.
