Get ready for a breezy, bright Tuesday with plenty of sunshine and a high near 88°F. Winds from the south-southwest will keep things moving at 10 to 20 mph, adding a refreshing feel to the warm day. Evening cools off to a mild 70°F under partly cloudy skies, with steady breezes continuing through the night. Perfect weather for outdoor plans or a sunset stroll!

🎯Fort Wayne launched its 46th annual Senior Games on Monday with a proclamation, torch lighting, and fun contests like darts and paper airplane flying. Open to residents aged 50 and up, the games run from June 2 to July 2 and include over 40 events. Mayor Sharon Tucker joined other city leaders at the opening. Registration costs $2 per event and is accepted two business days in advance. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🌮The Northside Neighborhood Association hosted its Northside Night Out Food Truck Rally on Monday evening at Lakeside Park. From 5–8 p.m., attendees enjoyed food from Cheeky Chick, Drop It Like It’s Tot, Who Cut The Cheese?, Whip & Chill, and Heartland Church’s truck. The family-friendly event also offered access to the park’s new playground, tennis and pickleball courts, and rose garden. More rallies are planned monthly through October. 🏠Indiana Landmarks will host the Back to the Future Mid-Century Modern Home Tour on June 7, featuring five homes designed in the style of Charles Stade and John Randal McDonald. The tour highlights natural materials, large windows, and unique homeowner stories. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 day of, with the headquarters at Peace Lutheran Church on Fairfield Avenue. ✊Organizers, including Bri Andrews and Roderick Parker, have launched a petition demanding justice, calling the incident group of white men attacking a Black man at Pike’s Pub near Fort Wayne a hate crime. They seek actions such as arrests and revoking the bar’s liquor license, citing alleged ties between the bar’s owner’s boyfriend and the Outlaw Motorcycle Gang. Protesters gathered outside the bar urging community awareness and justice for the victim, identified by some as “James.” The petition has about 500 signatures so far. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🚨Indiana State Police have identified the individuals involved in Sunday’s officer-involved shooting in Auburn. Officers responded to a call on West 11th Street after reports that a man, later identified as 44-year-old Kyle Leins, had entered a home and pointed a gun at someone. Officer Noah Woollweever exchanged gunfire with Leins, who is now recovering from surgery in a local hospital. No officers were injured. Woollweever has been placed on three days of administrative leave, per standard procedure. ISP continues to investigate and will submit its findings to the DeKalb County Prosecutor’s Office. 🛵The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday night as 27-year-old Charles Harrison Rainbolt Jr. of Fort Wayne. According to the release, the motorcycle lost control and struck a curb near Maplecrest Road and Monarch Drive around 9 p.m. Rainbolt was pronounced dead at the scene, with the cause of death listed as multiple blunt force injuries. The crash was ruled an accident and remains under investigation. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🎓A 21-year-old man was shot in the foot outside the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum around 9:40 p.m. Sunday following the Wayne High School graduation. The man, a spectator, was found in the parking lot and taken to the hospital in fair condition. The suspect has not been caught. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Allen County Sheriff’s Department or Crimestoppers.

🚗The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified the driver killed in a weekend crash on Interstate 469 as 33-year-old Daniel Lamar Preston of Fort Wayne. Saturday evening, his SUV veered off the ramp from westbound I-469 to northbound I-69 near Exit 0B and struck a culvert. Preston was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The coroner ruled the death an accident caused by multiple blunt force injuries. The crash remains under investigation. Read more from WANE 15 here.

⚾ The Fort Wayne TinCaps lost 6-5 to the Great Lakes Loons in a close series finale Sunday. Logan Wagner’s walk-off single scored the winning run after a seesaw battle of multiple lead changes.
