Expect a mostly sunny Monday with hazy skies at times due to wildfire smoke. The high will reach 82°F with a gentle southwest breeze around 5 to 10 mph. Overnight, the sky will clear up nicely, dropping to a comfortable 59°F with winds shifting slightly south-southwest. Humidity will stay moderate throughout the day and night. Don’t forget your sunscreen UV index is very high! Enjoy the summer vibes but stay hydrated.

🦞 The popular Midwest food truck Naughty Lobstah has returned to Fort Wayne, making a stop at Deer Park Irish Pub on Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. Known for putting a Midwest twist on the classic New England lobster roll, the Ohio-based truck is back in town at 1530 Leesburg Road. ☕ The Fort Wayne Social Club is hosting the Fort Wayne Coffee Crawl from June 1 to June 27, sponsored by Utopian Coffee. Participants can grab a Crawl Passport from Visit Fort Wayne and collect stamps at local coffee spots for a chance to win prizes. The event features specialty drinks, discounts, merch, photo ops, and ends with a finale party on June 27. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🎣 The 26th Annual Community Fishing Derby is back in Fort Wayne on Saturday, June 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Reservoir Park. The free event invites families to enjoy a day of fishing, friendship, and community fun. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🍻 GermanFest 2025 returns to Headwaters Park from June 5–8, starting with the keg tapping ceremony led by Sharon Tucker at 6 p.m. on Thursday. The festival will feature German food, entertainment, vendors, and family activities. While beer flights won’t be available this year, the same brews from last year will be served. Organizers will provide shuttle service from 4th Street parking throughout the event. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🧪 Science Central hosts Disability Nights for people with developmental, intellectual, and emotional disabilities. These events feature lower sound levels, brighter lighting, extra staff, and a sensory room to enhance accessibility. The nights are free for individuals with disabilities and their caregivers. The next event is Friday, 9-11 p.m., at the Star Quest Observatory, rain or shine, continuing through October. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🌱 Pilgrims Progress Community Development Corp. picked Dylan Wright’s design for a public garden at Gay and Eliza Streets. The garden will feature fruit trees, vegetables, walking paths, and benches, with help from Elevatus Architecture. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🐱 Humane Fort Wayne starts walk-in Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) services June 2 for stray cats, available Monday-Wednesday, with 10 cats per day accepted. The $50 package includes surgery, microchip, ear tip, and rabies vaccine. Over 300 cats are in their adoption and foster programs. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🔫 A 21-year-old man was injured in a shooting outside the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum Friday night during Wayne High School’s graduation ceremony. Police responded around 9:45 p.m. and found the victim with a gunshot wound to the foot. He was transported to a hospital in fair condition. The suspect or suspects remain at large. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Allen County Sheriff’s Department or Crimestoppers. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🔥 A viral video sparked protests outside Pike’s Pub in Waynedale after it showed members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club attacking a Black man while using racial slurs. The incident occurred Friday night, prompting a police response and widespread public reaction. The bar was closed Saturday, and its social media accounts were deactivated. The victim declined to identify the attackers, and no arrests have been made. The case is under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🛑 A man died Saturday evening after being ejected from his car in a crash on the ramp from westbound I-469 to northbound I-69. Allen County Sheriff’s deputies responded just after 6:30 p.m. and found the man outside the vehicle. Despite lifesaving efforts by EMS, he was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles or passengers were involved. The Allen County Coroner’s Office will release the man’s identity later. The crash remains under investigation. Read more from WANE 15 here.

They scored six unanswered runs over the final four innings, highlighted by Oswaldo Linares’ key hits and RBIs. The TinCaps aim to even the series with a game Sunday at 1:05 p.m. at Dow Diamond.
