🌳 How Fort Wayne Parks keep kids cool during summer heat
Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation offers around 1,500 programs a year, many in the summer to keep kids active outdoors. In extreme heat, staff adjust activities by adding more breaks, providing shade, and using air-conditioned spaces when needed. Their Park & Play vans even double as mobile cooling stations. While cancellations are rare, the department prioritizes clear communication with parents during hot weather. Read more from WANE 15 here.
