Road Closure Coming To Section Of S Anthony Blvd. For Utility Work
• Fort Wayne City Utilities says South Anthony Boulevard will close between Pontiac Street and Oxford Street starting Monday, June 1
• Crews will replace a 12-inch water main that is more than 100 years old as part of the utility work
• The closure is expected to last through Friday, with detours in place and local side-street access still allowed

New Alliance Opposes Proposed Homeless Resource Center Location
• A newly formed coalition called the Safe Schools Fort Wayne Alliance is opposing a proposed 24/7 low-barrier homeless resource center at 333 E. Washington Blvd
• Members say they support efforts to address homelessness but raise concerns about the site’s proximity to St. Paul’s Lutheran School, about 582 feet away
• The group includes local churches and businesses and is asking city leaders to reconsider the location while gathering community signatures and hosting outreach events

Changes Coming To Public Transportation In Fort Wayne As Citilink Launches New Rider-Friendly Features
• Citilink is rolling out system improvements in Fort Wayne aimed at making bus travel easier, faster, and more convenient for riders
• New features include Tap to Pay technology, fare-capping, expanded onboard pass purchases, route and schedule changes, and updates to the Royale transit app

Middle Waves Music Festival Returns June 6th With Passion Pit Headlining
• The Middle Waves Music Festival will take place at Headwaters Park in Fort Wayne on June 6th with gates opening at 3 p.m. and music starting at 4 p.m.
• The lineup includes The Paradox, Beach Bunny, Passion Pit, and local acts Man of the Flood and Los Aptos making their festival debut
• Organizers say the event will include food trucks, art zones, games, and family-friendly activities alongside live performances

Keep It Rolling At Fort4Fitness’s Spring Cycle
• Fort4Fitness hosted its annual Spring Cycle starting at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne with participants beginning rides at 8:30 a.m.
• The event offered multiple route options including 100K, 47-mile, 33-mile, 18-mile, 6-mile family ride, and a 1-mile campus loop

DNR Reminds Hoosiers To Prioritize Boating Safety As Summer Nears
• The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says boating safety is especially important as more people head out on boats, kayaks, and in the water during summer
• Conservation officers emphasize life jacket use, operator awareness, and warn that boating under the influence remains a major issue each year

‘Blue-Collar Building’ Closer To Opening: Clothes For Joes Veteran Service Center
• Clothes for Joes is moving closer to opening a Veteran Service Center in Fort Wayne after launching a fundraising campaign to renovate an old East Side Automotive Service Center building
• The planned center will provide veterans experiencing homelessness with resources including clothing, haircuts, showers, and a stable address and phone number
• A clean-up day is scheduled for Sunday at 2610 E. Washington Boulevard as the organization continues fundraising ahead of a planned Veterans’ Day opening

Death Investigation Underway For Man Who Was Found Dead
• Fort Wayne Police responded Sunday to the 600 block of Tennessee Ave after a wellness check for a family member who had not been heard from
• Officers entered the residence and discovered a man dead inside the home
• Police launched an investigation with homicide detectives, crime scene technicians, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office while gathering surveillance footage and speaking with neighbors
