Breezy southwest winds of 10–20 mph will keep the air feeling fresh, while only a slight chance of a passing shower exists. The evening remains quiet and comfortable with partly cloudy skies and a cool overnight low near 56°F, making for excellent outdoor conditions.

Lane Restriction Planned For W Cook Road Reconstruction
• Westbound traffic on Cook Road in Fort Wayne will be closed between Huguenard Road and Lima Road starting Monday, June 22.
• The closure is part of Phase 1 of a street reconstruction project on W Cook Road on the city’s northwest side.
• The lane restriction is scheduled to remain in place through Friday, July 10.

Months-Long Lane Restriction Coming To S Coliseum Boulevard Monday
• The northbound lane of S Coliseum Boulevard between Schele Avenue and Reynolds Street will close starting Monday, June 22.
• City officials say crews will be installing a water main as part of the project.
• The lane restriction is expected to last through Nov. 24, with a detour posted for the duration.

Allen County Fair Returns Next Weekend With New Monster Truck Show, Dirt Drag Racing
• The 37th Annual Allen County Fair runs from June 23 through June 28 at the Allen County Fairgrounds off Carroll Road in Allen County.
• The fair will feature monster truck shows, dirt drag racing, a demolition derby, carnival rides, livestock shows, and other 4-H activities.
• Admission is free during select morning and afternoon hours, with general admission set at $10 Tuesday through Saturday and $5 on Sunday.

INDOT To Hold Public Hearing On State Road 37 Shoulder Widening Project
• The Indiana Department of Transportation is planning a public meeting on its State Road 37 shoulder widening project in Fort Wayne.
• The project aims to reduce crashes by widening shoulders between St. Joe Center Road and Garden Way and improving intersections at Cuba and Thimlar Roads.
• The public hearing will be held June 23 at the Christian Community Center of Harlan, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

Councilmembers Address Mayor Tucker’s Response To 5-Point Request On Homeless Center
• Four Fort Wayne councilmembers asked Mayor Sharon Tucker’s office for more information and communication regarding plans for The Anchor Resource Center.
• The councilmembers requested details on the 23 locations considered for the center and reiterated their call for an in-person public forum led by the mayor’s office.
• The group said they still expect additional information on the operating plan, security measures, and the council’s role in future agreements before an Aug. 11 discussion.

29th Annual BBQ RibFest Takes Over Headwaters Park
• The 29th annual Fort Wayne BBQ RibFest is taking place at Headwaters Park from June 18 through June 21.
• The event features national award-winning cooking teams serving ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and chicken along with live blues music.
• Admission is free until 5:30 p.m. on most days, with adult entry costing $6 afterward and children 12 and under admitted free.

Summit City Carnival Returns To The Memorial Coliseum This Summer
• The Summit City Carnival will return to the Memorial Coliseum parking lot in Fort Wayne from July 10 through July 18.
• The event will feature rides, games, food, and a circus admission included with basic tickets starting at $10 per person per day.
• New this year is an extreme water ride called The Swamp Splash, along with several discounted ticket days and promotions.

Fort Wayne Deploys New Defibrillator, Heart Monitor Technology To Help With Cardiac Arrest, Other Life-Threatening Emergencies
• Fort Wayne Fire Department and Three Rivers Ambulance Authority have begun using a new LIFEPAK 35 defibrillator and heart monitor system.
• City officials say the equipment has already been used multiple times within hours of going into service and has helped respond to critical patients.
• Each unit costs about $60,000, and dozens have been deployed across the city while older equipment remains in use.

Allen County Public Library Seeks Feedback On Branch Upgrades

• President Donald Trump signed an agreement with Iran in Versailles that calls for Tehran to dilute its highly enriched uranium stockpile and immediately allows Iran to sell oil freely through U.S. sanctions waivers
