A warm and humid day starts with morning rain showers before sunshine breaks through during the afternoon. Temperatures climb to around 89°F with breezy southwest winds and a very high UV index once skies brighten. The evening begins partly clear, but clouds increase overnight with a few late-night showers possible as temperatures settle near 71°F.

Tim Hortons Reopens Following Fight That Preceded Woman’s Death
• The Fort Wayne Tim Hortons reopened less than a month after a May 13 fight between employees and 75-year-old customer Anita Grayson who later died.
• Police released video footage of the incident without audio and said details were complicated by rumors circulating on social media.
• Grayson’s family has raised concerns publicly and retained attorney Ben Crump while no employees have been arrested and the cause of death remains under review.

Downtown Fort Wayne Urges Council To Delay Homeless Center Vote

• Twelve neighborhoods received grants of up to $5,000 each through the Neighborhood Engagement Grant program funded by Community Development and the Foellinger Foundation.

Foellinger Theatre Summer Concert Series Returns With Free Opening Show
• The 2026 “Music. Memories. Summer Nights.” concert series begins Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Foellinger Theatre with a free performance by the Fort Wayne Area Community Band.
• Additional free concerts include performances from jazz orchestras and the Fort Wayne Children’s Choir scheduled through July and August.

2 Seriously Injured In Crash On Lafayette Street
• A crash at Lafayette Street and East Sherwood Terrace on Tuesday morning involved an SUV and a car and shut down multiple lanes of traffic.
• Dispatch initially reported one driver in critical condition and the other with serious injuries following the collision around 8 a.m.
• Police later said the critically injured driver was stable and both drivers were expected to survive with non-life-threatening injuries.

Trump Administration To Offer Expedited Visa Interviews For $750 Fee
• The State Department will launch a pilot program allowing business and tourist visa applicants to pay $750 for an interview appointment within 10 days at select embassies and consulates.
• The expedited service fee is in addition to the standard $185 visa application fee and does not guarantee visa approval.
• The program is scheduled to run from July 1 through Dec. 31, with participating embassies and consulates to be announced before launch.

Why it matters here:
Faster visa interview access could help some travelers avoid long wait times, but the added cost may create a significant barrier for many applicants.
