Expect steady rain in the morning with a 90% chance of showers and 1–2 inches possible. It will remain cool and cloudy most of the day with a high near 75°F. Winds from the northeast will make it feel breezy. Skies will gradually clear overnight, dipping to a crisp low of 56°F.

🐾 Starting in August, Humane Fort Wayne is moving its Wellness Clinic back to 1333 Maycrest Drive with longer walk-in hours for basic pet care. It’s also launching Clinic Plus at the Leesburg Road location for added services like allergy treatment and low-cost euthanasia. This service will be available by appointment on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. The expansion, supported by a $1 million PetSmart grant, helps meet growing demand. 🦘 The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is now home to Arya Stark and Valentina, two rare Tasmanian devils brought from Tasmania as part of global conservation efforts. They’re among only eight sent to U.S. zoos last year. Known for their strong bites and glowing red ears, the nocturnal marsupials help raise awareness about the endangered species and their fight against a contagious facial tumor disease. ⚾ The Fort Wayne TinCaps are entering the final stretch of their season, with home games running through August 31. Tickets start at just $7. On Wednesdays, fans can bring their cat or dog to Parkview Field with a Paw Pass. Upcoming games include a matchup against the Great Lakes Loons. Tincaps tickets can be purchased now. 🚗 Around 5 p.m. Tuesday, a car flipped at the intersection of Avenue of Autos and Illinois Road in southwest Fort Wayne. Those involved had non-life-threatening injuries, and the road was cleared by 7 p.m. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🕵️ Fort Wayne Police say community tips are key to solving crimes, helping them reach a 96% homicide clearance rate. Anonymous tips especially through Crime Stoppers have led to hundreds of felony arrests. 🚨 Fort Wayne Police and Humane World for Animals rescued 22 dogs and puppies Tuesday from suspected dog-fighting sites at three local homes. The dogs were found in extreme heat, with no water, and covered in scars. One man, Trevel Shantae Bell, was arrested and charged with two felony counts related to animal fighting. 🎉 Allen County Community Corrections marked its 40th anniversary Tuesday, highlighting decades of work in rehabilitation and public safety. Founded in 1985, the agency uses electronic monitoring and residential placements as cost-effective alternatives to incarceration. A recent state assessment named ACCC a “model site” for its leadership, innovation, and impact. Read more from WANE 15 here.
🌐 A new project between Allen County and Lakeland Internet will bring high-speed internet to over 61,000 homes in rural areas. With $1.2 million in ARPA funds, areas like Hoagland, Woodburn, Yoder, Zanesville, Poe, Monroeville, Edgerton, Woodburn, Harlan, Spencerville, and Leo-Cedarville will soon have access to speeds up to 500 Mbps.
