Gusty west-northwest winds will keep it feeling colder, especially as temperatures struggle to warm up. Tonight turns much colder with partly cloudy skies and lows dropping to around 16°F, so bundle up if heading out late.

Parkview Health Erases $64M in Patient Medical Debt
• Parkview Health partnered with Undue Medical Debt to forgive $64.13 million for 35,694 patients.
• Qualifying patients will receive letters from Undue this week and do not need to take further action.
• The majority of affected patients have commercial insurance, with others on Medicare, Medicaid, self-pay, or military coverage.

Fort Wayne Receives $50M in New Markets Tax Credits
• The U.S. Treasury awarded Fort Wayne $50 million to support economic growth projects.
• The city’s total New Markets Tax Credit allocation now totals $283 million.
• Local projects supported include The Landing downtown revitalization, Vincent Village Homeless Shelter, and Neighborhood Health Oxford Neighborhood Center.

NACS Approves New Boundaries For Middle Schools
• Northwest Allen County Schools voted Monday to implement new middle school boundaries for the 2026-2027 school year.
• The changes accommodate the opening of Willow Creek Middle School and relieve overcrowding at Carroll and Maple Creek Middle Schools.
• Option 4 was selected based on family survey feedback prioritizing friend groups and transportation times.

School Bus Crashes into Power Line in SW Allen County; No Injuries Reported
• A school bus with students on board crashed into a power line near Lafayette Meadows Elementary on Tuesday afternoon.
• No injuries were reported, but students had to remain on the bus until power crews arrived.
• Ernst Road was closed in both directions while crews worked to make the area safe.
