Tonight turns partly cloudy and cold, with temperatures dropping to around 30°F as winds ease slightly.

Protesters March Downtown Fort Wayne over ICE Shooting
• More than 100 people gathered at the Allen County Courthouse and marched to the Federal Courthouse on South Harrison Street.
• Demonstrators called for ICE to be defunded or abolished and urged action from Senators Jim Banks and Todd Young.
• Protesters left messages at the courthouse expressing frustration with the Trump administration and support for ICE.

Singer-Songwriter Concert Series Coming to Wunderkammer
• Five Nashville-based singer songwriters will perform as part of the “Songs in the City” series.
• The concerts run from January 21 through February 27 at Wunderkammer and are sponsored by WBOI.
• Doors open at 7 p.m., music starts at 7:30 p.m., and tickets cost $21.

High School Students Race to Build Robot in 72-hour Challenge at Electric Works
• Local high school students are working with college mentors during a three day robotics marathon at Electric Works.
• The challenge is hosted by Fort Wayne nonprofit BioNanomics and requires teams to design and build a 120 pound robot.
• Participants began Saturday afternoon and have until noon Tuesday to complete the robot.

Midwest Recreation Expo Now Underway In Fort Wayne
• The Midwest Recreation Expo is happening at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum alongside the Midwest Motorcycle and Powersports Expo.
• The event features boats, RVs, ATVs, bikes, and other motorized vehicles and runs through Sunday.
• Admission is $15 for adults and free for children under 16, with tickets granting access to both expos.

City Of Fort Wayne Invites Neighborhood Leaders To Attend Workshops For Improvement Grant Program
• The city is hosting workshops in January to help neighborhood leaders learn about the neighborhood improvement grant application process.
• Grants of up to $5,000 are available, with Arts United offering matching grants for public art projects.
• Applications open January 20 at 8 a.m. and close March 13 at 5 p.m.

Two Injured in Early Morning Shooting at Fort Wayne Club
• Police responded around 2 a.m. to reports of shots fired at Showgirl III on Coliseum Boulevard.
• One man was found at the scene with non life threatening gunshot wounds and another arrived at a hospital shortly after with similar injuries.
• Witnesses told police an altercation between the two men led to the shooting, which remains under investigation.

Trump Pushes One-Year 10% Cap on Credit Card Interest Rates
• The plan could save U.S. credit card holders tens of billions of dollars by limiting interest to 10% for one year.
• Banks warn the cap may restrict credit access for high-risk borrowers and push consumers toward high-cost alternatives.
• Trump’s announcement did not specify if the cap would come through executive order or Congress, with legislation aimed for Jan. 20, 2027.

Why it matters here:
Local consumers could see lower credit card costs if implemented, but access to credit for some residents might be limited.
