Fort Wayne Hosts Annual Gene Marcus Piano Competition
• Pianists aged 18 and under from within 100 miles of Fort Wayne are competing in the 15th annual event.

• Special Olympics Indiana held its annual Polar Plunge on Saturday at Metea County Park.

Two Injured In Crash On I 69 Near Jefferson Boulevard Exit
• Police responded to a multi vehicle crash on southbound I 69 near mile marker 302 around 6 45 a.m.
• Two occupants were pinned inside a vehicle and were extricated by firefighters before being taken to a local hospital.
• One person was reported in life threatening condition while the other suffered non life threatening injuries.

One Dead In Early Morning South Side House Fire
• Firefighters responded just after 3:20 a.m. to a house fire in the 4600 block of South Park Drive.
• Crews found the home engulfed in flames and brought the fire under control in less than 30 minutes using a defensive attack.
• One occupant was found dead after the fire was mostly extinguished and the incident remains under investigation.

Three Pets Found Dead After South Side House Fire
• Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 4500 block of Wilmette Street around 10:15 p.m. Saturday.
• Crews extinguished flames on the first floor of the two story home in about 15 minutes and found no people inside.
• One dog and two cats were found dead while two reptiles survived, and the fire is under investigation.
