Trump State of the Union Speech
• President Trump’s address will focus on the economy and domestic issues, aiming to reassure voters amid low approval ratings on both economic leadership (39%) and immigration (38%).
• He is expected to highlight tax cuts, reshoring manufacturing, and energy policy while blaming former President Biden for ongoing economic challenges.
• Foreign policy, including military strikes abroad and threats against Iran, may take a backseat, with the speech largely serving as a campaign-style rally to shore up Republican support.

Why it matters here:
The State of the Union serves as both a policy roadmap and a political signal, giving insight into how Trump plans to shape public perception ahead of the 2026 midterms.
