Months-Long Lane Restriction Scheduled on Sherman Boulevard
• Northbound lane of Sherman Boulevard between High Street and Third Street will close starting Feb. 24.
• Crews will be installing a water main, with flaggers and a flashing traffic signal in place.

FWFD Investigating Two Fires on Northeast Side
• Firefighters responded to an automotive repair shop on St. Joe Center Road Saturday night, causing moderate fire and water damage.
• A house on Antebellum Boulevard caught fire early Sunday, resulting in heavy smoke damage and minor fire and water damage.
• One person was rescued from the house, one dog died, and another dog survived; both fires are under investigation.

USA vs Canada Ice Hockey Watch Parties Draw Crowds in Fort Wayne
• Local businesses hosted early-morning watch parties for the USA vs. Canada ice hockey game during the 2026 Winter Games in Milan.
• Fans gathered at Shady Nook and Wrigley Field Bar & Grill, braving snow to watch the game on TVs throughout the venues.

Boy in Life-Threatening Condition After Fort Wayne Shooting
• A boy was found with gunshot wounds outside a home on Tanbark Lane near Maplecrest Road around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
• He was transported to the hospital in life-threatening condition.

New Haven High School Students Walk Out Over Immigration Enforcement
• Dozens of students left class around 2 p.m. Friday to protest federal immigration enforcement tactics.

Turnstone Hosting 2026 Jr. Wheelchair Basketball Midwest Championships
