Overnight, skies clear partly with a low near 19°F, N winds at 5–10 mph, and the waning crescent moon shining softly on the crisp winter night.

Fort Wayne City Utilities Seeking Artists For ‘Clean Drains Fort Wayne’ Program
• Local artists are invited to design storm drain murals to promote river pollution awareness and waterway conservation
• Over 100 drains have been decorated in the past six years with “Only Rain in the Drain” reminders
• Applications are due April 12, and selected artists will receive materials to paint murals in August

• Burch has been charged with obstruction of justice and said she was the victim of the attempted robbery

• Damiah Jackson-Sanders, 23, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit attempted murder
• Curry was found dead in his vehicle on December 21, 2025, and a second person was shot at but not injured

Partial Shutdown Could Hit Homeland Security If Congress Misses Funding Deadline
• The Department of Homeland Security will face a funding lapse after Friday if Congress does not reach a deal, though more than 90% of its 272,000 employees would keep working.
• Immigration and border operations, disaster response, airport security, and Secret Service functions would continue, even if many workers are temporarily unpaid.
• Lawmakers remain divided over immigration enforcement reforms following the fatal shooting of two U.S. citizens in Minneapolis by DHS agents.
