An outage at the Midwest’s largest oil refinery has pushed Fort Wayne gas prices up to $3.49, the highest in a year. The shutdown followed severe storms and flooding but the refinery is restarting, and wholesale prices are already declining. GasBuddy’s Patrick De Haan said prices should fall a few cents daily through Labor Day, with highs unlikely to reach $3.49 again. Projections show prices could drop to $3.19–$3.29, and possibly as low as $2.99 by December. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🦌 The Fort Wayne Zoo introduced Norman, a six-year-old bontebok, to the African Journey exhibit alongside zebras and wildebeest. Originally from the Cleveland Zoo, Norman adjusted to his new habitat gradually before joining the herd. Bontebok, once nearly extinct in the early 1900s, are now classified as near-threatened thanks to conservation efforts. Read more from WANE 15 here.

Former Zillow exec targets $1.3T

The top companies target big markets. Like Nvidia growing ~200% in 2024 on AI’s $214B tailwind. That’s why the same VCs behind Uber and Venmo also backed Pacaso. Created by a former Zillow exec, Pacaso’s co-ownership tech transforms a $1.3 trillion market. With $110M+ in gross profit to date, Pacaso just reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.
