Applications open online September 1–18, limited to 25 participants. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🐺 Indiana State Police conducted a “Wolfpack Patrol” in Allen County on Friday with 10 units. Troopers made three OWI arrests, seven drug-related arrests, and one warrant arrest. 🌽 The Fort Wayne Farmer’s Market is no longer tied to Electric Works after founder Leigh Rowan Donahue announced her departure. Ownership had been in transition since October 2024 but failed due to disagreements with the Electric Works Public Market Trust (EWPMT). The market will now operate as the Summit City Farmers Market, keeping its Saturday events at Electric Works with the same vendors and hours. EWPMT says the mission to support local vendors and provide fresh products remains unchanged. Donahue wished the market success, reflecting on her role in mentoring entrepreneurs. 🏘️ Fort Wayne Councilmembers Russ Jehl and Scott Myers urged Mayor Sharon Tucker to take stronger action on homeless encampments, pointing to approaches from Gov. Gavin Newsom and former President Donald Trump. The Mayor’s Office said homelessness is already a top priority, highlighting efforts like a new Manager of Homeless Services, an Encampment Task Force, added shelter beds, and expanded outreach programs.
