🚴 Trek the Trails returns to Fort Wayne Tuesday
Trek the Trails restarts April 29 with free, guided bike rides on Fort Wayne’s trail network. Locations change biweekly through September. All skill levels welcome, helmets encouraged, and maps posted on event days. Read more from WANE 15 here.

Slate may bring low-cost EV production to Warsaw
EV startup Slate Auto is considering a vacant Warsaw factory for building electric trucks starting at $25,000. The project may create up to 2,000 jobs. No site confirmed yet, but plans point to the Midwest. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🎸 Cancer Bats continue tour with help from Fort Wayne’s Sweetwater
After losing over 50 pieces of gear to theft in Indianapolis, Canadian punk band Cancer Bats resumed their U.S. tour using loaned equipment from Sweetwater Studios. A GoFundMe raised over $30,000 CAD. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🚛 Tipped semi shuts down I-69 exit ramp in north Fort Wayne
A semi truck tipped over Monday night on the I-469 westbound exit ramp to I-69 in north Fort Wayne, causing lane closures and slowed traffic. Minor injuries were reported. Cleanup crews cleared the scene. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🚧 Allen County Commissioners provide update on new jail construction
Allen County Commissioners say construction on the new jail at 2911 Meyer Road is 15% complete and on schedule for a December 2027 finish. Funding is secured, permits are underway, and drone footage is available. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🦁 Guests love Fort Wayne Zoo’s Glo Wild
The Fort Wayne Zoo’s Glo Wild features hundreds of giant animal and plant lanterns, interactive displays, free train and sky rides, and a special tasting menu. The exhibit runs select nights through May 26. Read more from WANE 15 here.

💊 Fentanyl awareness campaign continues to grow across Indiana
A fentanyl awareness campaign led by RemedyLIVE and the Allen County Coroner’s Office is expanding across Indiana. Student-created PSAs warn of counterfeit pills and are being shared with schools and death investigators statewide. Read more from WANE 15 here.
