✝️ Bishop Rhoades will hold a special Mass Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception to honor Pope Francis, who died Monday at 88. He praised the Pope’s legacy of love and compassion. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🚔 Two Dead After Fort Wayne Shooting & Police Chase
Police responded to a shooting on Hinton Drive near the University of Saint Francis. The suspect fled, leading officers on a multi-county chase before crashing and exchanging gunfire with police. Both the suspect and a male victim died. Read more from WOWO here.

🏥 Rural Indiana Communities Losing Labor & Delivery Access
Harrison County Hospital ended labor and delivery services on April 1, joining 13 other Indiana hospitals since 2020. Causes include staffing shortages and low Medicaid rates. Solutions discussed include workforce expansion and reimbursement reform. Read more from WFFT here.

🎉 Deer Park Irish Pub celebrates Dyngus Day by transforming into Deer Park Polish Pub with Polish beer specials, perogies from local vendors, and live polka music. Festivities run from noon to midnight at 1530 Leesburg Road. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🚨 A man is in life-threatening condition after a shooting Monday near the 1400 block of Greene Street. Police say he fled to an apartment for safety. No suspect is in custody. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🍸 Copper Spoon in downtown Fort Wayne earned an “Excellent” rating and one pin from The Pinnacle Guide, becoming Indiana’s only recognized bar. The honor highlights their creative cocktails and strong hospitality. Read more from WANE 15 here.

🧪 Two new measles cases were confirmed in Allen County, bringing the total to eight. The cases involve one unvaccinated minor and one adult with unknown vaccination status. All cases are connected, and risk to the community remains low. Read more from WANE 15 here.
