Gas Prices May Not Drop Below $3 A Gallon Until Next Year, Energy Secretary Says
• Energy Secretary Chris Wright said prices may not fall below $3 per gallon until next year due to the ongoing war with Iran.
• Gas prices have risen to about $4.04 per gallon on average since the conflict began on Feb. 28.
• Disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, which carries about one fifth of global oil, are driving higher energy costs.
