Fort Wayne Woman Facing Charges In Huntington Drug Death
• A Fort Wayne woman, April Noble, has been charged with dealing a controlled substance resulting in death, a Level 1 felony
• The charge is connected to the August 2025 overdose death of Huntington resident Cody Mitchell, who was found with drug paraphernalia at the scene
• Toxicology reports showed fentanyl and methamphetamine in Mitchell’s system, confirming the cause of death as an overdose
• Investigators traced drug purchase messages on Mitchell’s phone to a Facebook account allegedly linked to Noble, with surveillance footage supporting the connection

Man In Custody After Battery Report Leads To Standoff In Waynedale
• Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a reported battery Tuesday morning on Corvalis Avenue near Bluffton Road
• A standoff involving SWAT followed after witnesses said a man dragged a woman into a home during the incident
• Both individuals eventually exited the house around 12:30 p.m., ending the standoff without further escalation
• Police say the man is in custody and could face a felony charge of domestic battery in the presence of a child
